Kervezee makes a boundary saving stop as Malcolm gets off the mark in the eighth over with a single from Whelan.
Jones continues from the Pavilion End having replaced the injured Mason after four balls in the 7th over and concedes the first boundary as Borrington guides him down third man for four.
Whelan bowls a maiden in the 10th.
